Samsung A32 5G Premium Look on a Budget

Great looking Phone

The Galaxy A32 5G is a premium looking phone. It has a plastic backplate and chassis, but you’d be hard pressed to tell it’s a budget phone on simple sight. In the US, the phone has a glossy gray finish. Like most glossy finishes, it quickly collected fingerprints and hairline scratches.

The phone has a 6.5″ screen. The Galaxy A32 5G’s glossy finish makes it more susceptible to accidental drops. A case is definitely recommended . The phone slid out of my hands on a few occasions while using it. Fortunately, its plastic body and Gorilla Glass 5 display were sturdy enough to handle my clumsy hands.

The resolution clocks in at 1,600 by 720 pixels, for 270 pixels per inch. The display is bright and has a decent color gamut. The back has three discrete sensor bumps vertically stacked in the upper left corner of the backplate. To their right is another sensor that’s flush with the phone, along with the flash. The bottom of the phone has a USB-C charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and speaker. On the left you’ll find the Sim card/micro SD slot. The right side houses the volume buttons and a power button with the fingerprint sensor integrated in it.

Great 5G That doesn’t break the bank

I tested the phone on T-Mobile’s 5G network in Los Angeles. Speeds averaged 37.2Mbps down and 25.3Mbps up. Those numbers didn’t greatly improve from 4G LTE, but the same area has a tendency of having horrible 4G LTE. Suffice it to say, I got great video streaming where I would other wise not have it. That was a huge win in my book. Call quality was also crisp and clear. The bottom speaker is a weak point . You can use it for a call fine enough but don’t listen to music on it. Get a decent pair of headphones better.

Decent Specs for the Price

The Galaxy A32 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G chipset along with 4GB of RAM. There’s 64GB of storage, A micro sd slot, a 5000 mAh battery, a great 48MP back camera, and a 13MP front camera.

The 4GB of RAM help the phone feel snappy while multitasking. Though the MediaTek processor can be a bit under powered. But you’ll only really notice it if you play graphically intense games. In normal every day use you wont notice any issues. The battery is a strong point in this phone. It can get you through the day with ease. I would say 2 days in a single charge wouldn’t be out of the question. Water resistance is not mentioned, so I would not venture in the water with this phone.

One of the Best Cameras in this Price Range

The rear cameras consist of a 48MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s also a 13MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It takes some impressive pictures in daylight! While low light was a hit and miss with me.

Excellent 5G Phone With a Few Compromises

For the price, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G hits almost all focal points for a budget phone. Normal day to day tasks are a breeze. It has an excellent battery life. It’ll also receive multiple Android upgrades in it’s life time. The camera setup is no slouch . Its performance Rivals more expensive phones. Having a 5G phone also makes it future proof. The resolution is a weak point in here. though it probably wont be much of an issue unless your a video nut. With wireless carries bringing video resolution to 480p. I hardly think anyone can notice it. The speaker’s also a weak point in my opinion. and like I mentioned earlier get yourself a case for this phone. It scratches rather easily.

You can also pick up a 4G variant of this phone. You do lose the future proof connectivity. But it does have a bit better specs.
